I finally found the time to upload this image from the November 2&3 Breeders’s Cup races at the Santa Anita Racetrack in Los Angeles. The press release read as follows:
The Breeders’ Cup, joined by Los Angeles Mayor Villaraigosa, California Horse Racing Board (CHRB) Chairman Keith Brackpool, Breeders’ Cup Ambassador Bo Derek and Hall of Fame jockeys Laffit Pincay Jr. and Gary Stevens, on Thursday unveiled “BCin3D” at a press conference at L.A. LIVE welcoming the Breeders’ Cup back to Southern California.”BCin3D” is an interactive, 3D art installation that will be on display at L.A. LIVE through November 1, when it will be moved to Santa Anita Park for the World Championships, November 2-3.The Breeders’ Cup commissioned world-renowned artist, and inventor of 3D street art, Kurt Wenner, to create the painting that depicts a scene from Santa Anita Park. The artwork lays flat at 32 feet long by 16 feet wide, with an accompanying 10-foot high wall along the length of the painting. “BCin3D” has two markings within the painting for people to “step into.”
